Leicester City Women's Football Match!
As you all know, I am a big sports fan, especially football. This university year, I've decided to base my projects all around sports. I have been trying to get my way in for football photography at Leicester City Football Club, but there were many difficulties to get me to shadow a professional sports photographer. However, I have been contacting many people and one of them was a success. I got a message on Twitter mentioning me being able to go photograph the Leicester City Women's Football Team. This was a massive achievement for me. This could be my way up to the bigger leagues. Any type of football photography will make me happy and so to photograph my favourite club is an honour. The first game I went to was exciting due it going onto penalties in a cup quarter final. Leicester City won of course!
This is was a different experience for me. Photographing my favourite club was an honour, one of my main inspirations is Michael Regan, who is one of the best sports photographer. If I could get anywhere to his level, I would be happy. Next term, I will be trying to photograph more games and also different sports to get the understanding and the feel of sports photography more.
