Walk For Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

Walk For Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

Today was the day; Thousands of Leicester City fans and other fans from other clubs got together and took part in the 5000-1 walk for Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. Leading the walk was the likes of Harry Maguire, Andy King, Matty James and a few more Leicester City Footballers. The tragedy was a shock to us all, not just to the Leicester fans but to the footballing community.

I arrived into town and head straight to Jubilee Square, this was where everyone gathered to walk. Thousands of fans chanting "LEICESTER TILL I DIE", it showed how close we are as fans and as a footballing family and we can only thank Vichai and his son Aiyawatt for everything they have done for the football club, for the city and all their donations to charities and hospitals. Not only did he get us out of debt, he won us the championship and the Premier League!! Not to mention, we also got to the quarter finals of the Champions League...

I didn't walk all the way to the ground due to the heavy rain which could've damaged my camera, however I did take some photographs. This wasn't easy but I knew this sort of event would be less likely to happen again.

All I can say is...

Thank you Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha for everything you have done and achieved with Leicester City Football Club. May you and those who lost their lives... Rest in Peace.

DMU Men's Football Team - Studio Photoshoot

For my major project, I decided to focus on sports photography. This is something I would love to do in the future. I have 3 modules for University this year, and in all of them, I am focusing on sports, mainly football.

For this project, I decided to keep working with the De Montfort University Men's Football Team. I got to photograph 3 of them in the photo studio. It went both successful and there was a few shots which I could have improved on. I am going to reshoot but this time they will have the full kits, footballs, goalkeeper gloves which will give the photos a more authentic look.

Here are the photos:

Crystal Ball Photography - 17.10.18

17.10.18

It's been a while since I did some crystal ball photography so I thought I would go to town and see what results I could get compared to the last time I did it. I didn't take many shots this time so I only managed to achieve 3 good enough shots for me to post.

This technique of using a crystal ball and photography is great and so much fun. The results you achieve and the outcomes are fantastic, I would definitely recommend to other photographers to try it and see what they can achieve.

New York Trip - The City That Never Sleeps!

I got the chance to visit 'The City That Never Sleeps' also known as New York! Watching many films and tv shows filmed there, I have always wanted to visit. When I got accepted to go, I was absolutely delighted!

Here are my favourite shots from the trip, which includes Henry the dog!

I have got to say, if I ever got the chance to, I would definitely go again. Going to Times Square, Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building and also Ground Zero/World Trade Centre, I definitely had the trip of a lifetime.

Many of the people there were so friendly, it definitely felt different than being in England. Their food was stunning, the best had to be the $1 Pizza which you wouldn't expect for the cheap price.

I got the chance to invest in a new prime camera lens for my 700D, which I didn't use due to I needed a longer lens to capture images especially from the top of the Empire State Building. I also purchased some new Jordan's and a Tommy Hilfiger top (which was ridiculously cheap, go to Macy's if you visit!)

The hotel was stunning, the lobby was incredible, although the rumours of the hotel to be haunted still yet to be known. I roomed with my mates from the course, and on the opening night, just drank the champagne I ended up winning on the plane! (Made the trip even better).

My favourite highlight has to be the day I visited Ground Zero and went up the World Trade Centre. I ended up going with my roommates, course mates and a friend from 3rd year. Ground Zero was incredible, due to the emotion that lays there, it makes everything feel more surreal. Then going up the World Trade Centre at night was incredible too. Seeing the magnificent city from the top was beautiful. I couldn't get the best pictures as my camera isn't too good in dark conditions, but seeing it was more than enough for me.

I also visited a few galleries, which were incredible, but I really enjoyed just walking around everywhere, exploring a new city, and getting out of England really was enjoyable.
