The groom arrives! I took this photo when my cousin, Nikhil had arrived at the wedding venue to get married. This is definitely one of my favourite images from the couple of days I was in London. The venue was fantastic but I didn't photograph the actual wedding ceremony as I wasn't the official photographer, that would be way too much responsibility for me to handle. I did, however, photograph the groom's side walking into the venue, where chaos had broken out! The bride's side wouldn't let anyone without paying money! Which was pretty funny. I love this shot because of how the groom is placed and composed, which is directly in the middle of the two men on the sides of the image frame. His clothing stands out with the red and gold brightening up the image. His facial expressions show that he is happy and excited to get married, however before he left for the venue, I can tell you he was nervous and stressed! His expressions connote the whole day, a happy day to remember for the rest of his and his wife's life.

So in October, my cousin, Nikhil got married! It was the first wedding that I attended in years, and thought this was the perfect opportunity to capture some shots which I never had the chance to. Then my aunty asked me to take photos, I was really honoured to. This was in the middle of a traditional ritual, Nikhil didn't really understand as you can tell by his facial expressions! The priest had talked for a while before his phone went off twice! I had captured loads of images just from this ritual, while editing, I wanted to make Nikhil and the priest the main subjects without any distractions in the background, so I desaturated the image and left them in colour. I think it has given the image a more dramatic effect at the same time, It also tells a story of marriage in Hinduism. It was a really good experience for me. Both in the photography way and the religion way, I got to learn how to quick you have to be when photographing a wedding and also learnt about the ritual. It was difficult photographing a wedding for the first time at 19 years old, due to having to tell people to move out the way without being rude! I had a fantastic couple of days in London! More pictures of the wedding will be coming out soon but I want to take this opportunity to thank Nikhil and my aunty for giving me such a big responsibility!

One of my favourite portraits from the project. I had chosen the right place to take the picture. I wanted to capture the text in the background and also have his blue and white scarf conveying David being a Leicester fan. I had a lot of fun with project, definitely had more fun than I thought I would. It went really successful and ended up with a lot of images that helped me with the project and my blog at the same time. One of my keen hobbies is sports photography. Whether it is capturing fans or the sport itself, I will always have fun while learning and developing new skills. Starting off by photographing football fans, I hope one day I will be given the opportunity to capture and photograph football matches. I have always had a keen eye for sports photographs and would love to test it out myself.
