In my previous architecture blogs, I mentioned that old buildings can look just as good as modern buildings in a photograph. This is one of my favourites. I really like the composition of the two buildings as one building is nearly destroyed and is old and gritty. Whereas the building next to it is in construction, so you get to compare both the photos. I think that due to the main building being old , it adds a dramatic and tensed effect to the photo, it makes people think, what happened to the building or how long has it been there for. With modern buildings, you don't think about the past, just how they could improve the building thanks to technology. But in this case the building and the tensed atmosphere in the photo almost makes you feel sad for the building that it is now destroyed and probably will be knocked down at one point in time.
