Carrying on from my portraits with the theme of football and football fans, I got in touch with a massive Leicester City fan and also an author who's book sold a lot of copies. We had started outside of the King Power Stadium and then David took me to the old ground, which is now a car park, grass and a stand is now a student accommodation. Then finally went across from the stadium to the river. Where you see a beautiful view of the football stadium which gave me ideas for some portrait shots. I loved the green logo of Leicester, which was lit in honour of the Brazilian team following the horrible tragedy. This is one of my favourite portraits and will always be one of my favourites.

For my portrait project for university, I decided to have a theme of football/football fans. Luckily, I managed to get a ticket to a Leicester City game and this allowed me to capture some candid portraits of my friends watching the players warm up. I think the camera angle works well, it captures their facial expressions perfectly and the audience gets an idea of what I am trying to achieve here. This is one of my favourite shots but have got a few more which I will be posting in a couple of days time. I have always been interested in sports photography and hopefully while studying photography at De Montfort University, I will be able to get into the industry more and start capturing some awesome sports photographs...

My Best Picture Yet?? So when I did a portrait photoshoot outside and around the King Power Stadium, me and my subject ran into this little beauty of a creature. As soon as I saw the Owl, I had to take a photo of it. Luckily for me, the Owl looked into the camera as soon as my flash popped up from the camera and so I managed to capture this stunning shot and in my opinion, it is my best and favourite picture till date. I have never come across an Owl in my life and to manage to capture this stunning creature made me realise photographing animals and nature is something I want to do in the future. If I come across anymore wonderful animals, I will be quick to capture and share the work with you guys!. I manipulated this image very slightly on Photoshop just to darken the background to remove any distractions from the animal. I love how the Owl has made eye contact with the camera aka you guys too, it is like it is staring right at you! In conclusion this is my best ever image taken!!

For University, I have to do a portrait project and I decided to base it around football fans/footballers. So today I went to Abbey Park, where with a fellow student at De Montfort University, They played football and I took photographs. Now this photograph isn't for the actual project and I actually didn't mean to capture this photo but going back through the images I found this shot. I love it. I think the shadows, the lighting just work well and the camera angle is amazing. The weather helped a lot and this photograph was taken with only available light as that is what the project is about. Now it is obviously a park but it also looks like a football pitch because of the grass and the football. I also love the track lines on the grass, it makes the image better and more interesting too.

I saw this beautiful butterfly inside my kitchen and thought to quickly grab my camera and capture it. Lucky for me, the butterfly didn't move a lot so I had a lot of time to focus and get the best settings for the image. I really love this shot because it is a stunning photograph and you see a lot of detail from the insect. Images like these are rare for me to capture because I would never expect to see a butterfly inside my kitchen just sitting on the door. It is quite hard to capture a close up shot of any insects due to their quick movement, so having this photo is really wonderful for me to have in my pictures.

Here is another photo from a little photoshoot with my brother. I like the photo because of the composition and the way he has positioned himself. I didn't know how to edit the image so I just manipulated simple things on the image such as the brightness and the curves of the image. I gave him the idea to look at the camera because he was often looking away so I wanted him to try something different. If I had more time, I would have gone to a different location such as a park or even a forest to get a different result from this one.

Last week, my family and I went to Epsom Downs Race Course in Surrey for an engagement party. My little brother wanted some photos taken so I thought I would try to get some good shots for the blog and work on my portraiture skills at the same time. I love this shot. He was a bit shy at first because he hasn't really modelled for me before but as time went on he got a bit more confident and even started to think of poses himself so it made it easier for me. What I like about the shot is that, he is positioned in the centre of the frame but he isn't making direct eye contact with me or the camera. So when people see this image, they will look at him and try to figure out where he is looking or why he isn't looking at me or the camera. I decided to add the vignette to this image because I thought it looked a bit simple but after adding the effect, the image just stood out more to me and I really like the shot.
