A fashion shoot with the brother! He recently recieved a tracksuit from a clothing label called ALPHALAB and he wanted some photos, this was a good opportunity for me to take photos and share them. I don't do much fashion photography, it isn't really my forte but I did enjoy taking these photos and loved the outcome of them. I think I enjoyed the location with the tunnel, it was something different and I haven't done a photoshoot there before.

Another one from my sports photography project for university. I was experimenting by getting the goalkeeper to do different stuff like jumping, kicking, throwing the ball, anything a normal goalkeeper would do in a football match. Obviously this wasn't a football match so I got to plan the shots I wanted to do. I do love this shot.  What you guys don't know is how many times it took me to capture this shot. I had to do it at least 15 times to be able to capture his hand and the ball in frame in the perfect position, after the 10th attempt I managed to find the right timing and this was the best shot from the other 5 attempts. If this was an advertising shot, I think it would be good for Sondico to use as it clearly shows their branding on the goalkeeper gloves and the football too.

Camera: Canon 5D Mark III
Shutter Speed: 1/4000
Aperture: F4
ISO: 400

This image was taken for a self portrait project for one of my modules at university. The project is based around locations that I love or has had an impact on my life, I thought to make it a personal project. I normally wouldn't do self portraits as I don't feel comfortable but I found a photographer named Robert Brittle who used models and photographed them from the back in various landscapes. I thought I would do something similar but using myself and the locations would actually have a meaning to them. I wanted the photos I took to have a dramatic feel to them hence the vignette. The photo was taken in Watermead Park, I used a Canon 700D and a tripod to photography myself. Although I don't do self portraits much, I have enjoyed the project and consider doing more of it.

This was for one of my university projects. As you have seen the sports photography were shot outside with a canon speed light and the other part of the project involved shooting in the studio using studio lights. So I tried some advertising photography with these Adidas football boots. I used a reflector, and two beauty dishes to have a strong light but also reflected it to diffuse it slightly. Afterwords, I did use different coloured gels to experiment with the background, which may be uploaded sometime this week. Although it isn't the best image, I do love the way the boots are positioned, in my opinion it is a professional layout but that's just me! I had to clamp the shoelaces to a pole so I could photograph them, I did try to change the positioning of the football boots but were quite difficult to keep them steady. It is one of my favourite shots due to the lighting.

My favourite sports photograph so far! When I was shooting, I was trying different camera angles to capture my subject shooting. Obviously, since we planned the shots, it gave me time to capture the images and see if I liked them or not. However if it was a real game, I wouldn't have the chance to plan it, I would have to keep shooting and shooting and hope for the best. What I love about this shot is the angle mainly but also the depth of field. I love the composition of the foot, the ball and the goalkeeper in the background. I wanted it all in frame and managed to capture this shot in 2. I am definitely trying to get into the sports photography industry and would love to photograph at a Leicester City game! If the opportunity came up, I would definitely take it in a heartbeat. This was shot using a Canon 5D Mark III, I would definitely recommend the camera but it isn't always about the camera, it's about how you use it.

As I have previously mentioned in a few of my blogs, I have been getting into sports photography and would love to photograph a real life football match one day. So I thought for my university project I would see how my skills are because you do need to be quick and focused. I used a different camera for this shoot, a more professional one aka the Canon 5D Mark III! After using it once, i fell in love with it and is definitely on my to buy list. The camera is fantastic, of course it is a full frame sensor and it feels so much better than the 700D which is still a good camera. This is one of my favourite shots. The depth of field is amazing, I wanted to mainly focus on the football and gloves and it has come out as I wanted it to. My main inspiration for the sports photography is Amy Maidment who works with professional football clubs such as AFC Bournemouth. Her work is stunning and one of the reasons for my shots that you will be seeing throughout the next few weeks.

The groom arrives! I took this photo when my cousin, Nikhil had arrived at the wedding venue to get married. This is definitely one of my favourite images from the couple of days I was in London. The venue was fantastic but I didn't photograph the actual wedding ceremony as I wasn't the official photographer, that would be way too much responsibility for me to handle. I did, however, photograph the groom's side walking into the venue, where chaos had broken out! The bride's side wouldn't let anyone without paying money! Which was pretty funny. I love this shot because of how the groom is placed and composed, which is directly in the middle of the two men on the sides of the image frame. His clothing stands out with the red and gold brightening up the image. His facial expressions show that he is happy and excited to get married, however before he left for the venue, I can tell you he was nervous and stressed! His expressions connote the whole day, a happy day to remember for the rest of his and his wife's life.
