I had just looked up at the sky and it looked beautiful. There was a silhouette effect with the trees and I love it when it has that effect. In my opinion it is a great nature shot, and one of my favourites from the whole photoshoot. On a class trip, I had done a similar shot except it was during a sunset so the skies were golden. This is a similar shot but I wanted to see how it looked with a blue sky. I also wanted to add a vignette to the photo, so I edited it slightly on Photoshop. Looking at the overall effect, I love it and I love the final outcome of the shot.

Macro and still life photography has always been one of my favourite types of photography there is. I have always enjoyed working with nature and flowers. Especially achieving amazing close ups of flowers. Close ups of flowers capture a great amount of detail from the flower and just makes the image a fantastic piece of art. When editing on photoshop, I love to desaturate the image and have a little bit of colour involved as it makes the image "pop" and it really stands out. I love photography and images like this one helps me see why photography is an art and why it can be a hobby and a job at the same time.

Whilst studying photography, my teachers and lecturers have told me to think about compositions and different camera angles. One reason why I did this shoot was to improve my camera skills. This image represents what I have learnt from studying photography and shows I have listened and have improved in many areas. Not only is this a great shot but the angle it was taken at is fantastic. To improve my work, I normally upload my work on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. These social networks allow me to get feedback from friends, family and other photographers. To improve work, you need to get constructive criticism. This will allow you to experiment and try other things. Like this image for example. I experimented with my camera techniques and ended up with a great shot.

I decided it was time for another photoshoot. I have been to Abbey Park, Leicester previously for photoshoots but honestly the photos weren't my best work. So I thought I'd reshoot and see if my photography skills have improved. Going through the photos, I have decided that I loved these photos and maybe some of my best work. Although, photographing the same locations and locations can be quite boring, so hopefully I can start travelling the United Kingdom and see some amazing stuff. There are loads of cool images from this photoshoot and will be more blogs about them this week!

This was the first time I asked a person in town if I could take a couple of photographs of him for my street photography project. He was more than eager to let me take a photograph of him. He suddenly stood up and removed his coat. I was definitely surprised! Then even more of a surprise he did a headstand for me. One important detail is that he is a homeless man and honestly a really kind man. It goes to show that there are kind people out there. I thought the black and white gave the photo a suitable effect to the image. It just worked really well. Street Photography was never my strong point, but this man helped me build my confidence and hopefully more people will be like this man and just have fun!!

This is one of my favourite photographs which I took a couple of months ago. I really like the bold colours and the camera angle gives a great effect to the image. On Photoshop, I played around with the levels and the curves slightly, to make the colours more bold, and I loved the final outcome. This was taken in Leicester, a side street in the city centre. There are loads of places surrounded with graffiti in Leicester, and I may do my own little project around graffiti in Leicester.

This was my first go at street photography. I am really not a confident person when it comes to photographing people on the street... but after my first go my confidence eventually built up and I got used to the idea of street photography. Using my Canon 700D and my 18-55mm lens, I was able to capture this image which I then converted into black and white using Adobe Photoshop. I found myself more comfortable using the live view mode on the camera as it hides what I am really capturing, and it gave me this great camera angle; one of the reasons why I love this image.
